Services

Withania Natural Health offers a variety of services in order to provide the best, most effective care for our patients. A combination of services will generally be used to address your unique case. Scroll to learn more about our services!

Foundational Care

Withania Natural Health provides foundational, whole-person care focused on prevention, functional health, and long-term wellness support. Care is centered on understanding how lifestyle, physiology, and personal health history contribute to overall function and well-being.

Visits are typically focused on chronic or non-urgent health concerns, including metabolic health, digestive function, hormonal balance, stress-related symptoms, and general wellness optimization. Rather than addressing isolated symptoms, care is designed to identify contributing factors and support sustainable improvements over time.

Treatment plans are individualized and may include nutrition guidance, lifestyle counseling, botanical medicine, and other evidence-informed natural therapies when appropriate. Recommendations are selected based on clinical presentation, safety, and current evidence, with an emphasis on practical, realistic changes that can be integrated into daily life.

This practice is designed for scheduled, outpatient care and is not appropriate for urgent or emergency medical concerns. Patients experiencing acute or time-sensitive symptoms are encouraged to seek appropriate urgent care or emergency services.

Foundational care is intended to complement conventional medical care. Patients are encouraged to maintain a relationship with their primary care physician (MD/DO), particularly for diagnostics, medication management, and urgent health concerns.

Natural Medicines & Supplements

Supplements may be recommended as part of an individualized treatment plan, depending on your specific condition and clinical needs. When used, they are selected to support overall health, address identified deficiencies, or complement other aspects of care—not as a standalone or one-size-fits-all solution.

Recommendations are based on safety, quality, and available evidence, and are tailored to each patient. This may include:

* Vitamins

* Minerals

* Botanical medicines

* Targeted compounds such as enzymes or probiotics

Not all patients require supplements, and their use is determined on a case-by-case basis as part of a broader, comprehensive treatment plan.

Dr. Botterman also evaluates potential interactions between supplements, medications, and existing conditions to ensure safe and appropriate use.

Withania Natural Health partners with Fullscript, an online dispensary that allows patients to conveniently access high-quality, professional-grade supplements recommended as part of their care.

 Supplements are not used based on trends or generalized protocols, but are selected carefully based on individual clinical context.

Nutrition

Nutritional Consultations

Nutrition is a foundational component of health and plays a key role in energy, metabolism, and overall function. Nutritional consultations focus on developing a clear understanding of your medical history, lifestyle, and current eating patterns to guide targeted, individualized recommendations.

Dr. Botterman works with patients to implement practical, sustainable dietary changes that support specific health goals—such as improving metabolic health, supporting recovery, or addressing nutrition-related concerns. Recommendations are tailored to the individual and grounded in clinical reasoning and current evidence.

Rather than following generalized diets or trends, care is personalized to fit your physiology, preferences, and long-term goals. The focus is on creating realistic, maintainable changes that integrate into your daily life.

Lab Testing

Withania Natural Health offers a range of laboratory testing options, available both in-office and through at-home kits when appropriate.

General screening tests—such as thyroid function, cholesterol, anemia, blood glucose, and nutrient levels—can be performed in the office. When clinically indicated, more specialized testing may be recommended to further evaluate specific concerns, including gastrointestinal health, micronutrient status, and other functional markers.

Laboratory testing is used thoughtfully to support clinical decision-making and is recommended based on individual history, symptoms, and presentation—not as a routine or one-size-fits-all approach. The goal is to gather meaningful, actionable information that helps guide effective and appropriate treatment.

Dr. Botterman reviews all results in the context of your overall health and works with you to develop a clear, practical plan based on the findings.

Chronic Condition Management

Natural medicine can play a supportive role in the management of chronic conditions, with a focus on improving function, quality of life, and long-term health.

Care may include targeted nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and, when appropriate, supplements to complement existing treatment plans. Recommendations are individualized and based on clinical presentation, safety, and available evidence.

This approach is often used alongside conventional medical care, and collaboration with other healthcare providers is encouraged when appropriate to ensure comprehensive and well-coordinated treatment.

Common conditions that may benefit from an integrative approach include:

* Cardiovascular disease

* High blood pressure

* Diabetes

* Digestive conditions (such as IBS and IBD)

* Autoimmune conditions

* Asthma

* Dermatological conditions

* Seasonal allergies

Infrared Sauna

Infrared (IR) saunas use light to gently heat the body directly, allowing for a comfortable experience at lower ambient temperatures compared to traditional saunas.

This mild heat exposure leads to vasodilation (widening of blood vessels), which can temporarily increase circulation and deliver more oxygen to muscles and tissues. As a result, some patients report short-term relief of muscle and joint discomfort, similar to other forms of heat therapy used in rehabilitation settings.

The warming effect can also support relaxation and stress reduction, likely by encouraging parasympathetic (“rest and recover”) nervous system activity. Many patients find sessions helpful for unwinding, reducing perceived stress, and supporting sleep routines.

Emerging research suggests that regular sauna use may be associated with cardiovascular benefits, including improved vascular function, which can helpma

IR sauna sessions are generally well tolerated when used appropriately. In our clinic, they are used as a supportive adjunct to care—helping manage symptoms and promote relaxation—rather than as a primary or standalone medical treatment.
